Why the *bleep* wouldn't areas be created automatically by demand instead by voting?

I want to be able to create a track where I live (Linköping, one of the 5 largest Swedish cities), not in the nearest "available" city, which in my case happens to be a much smaller city.

And, if I go to a race track meet somewhere, I'd like to create a track on the go or at least the night before, without being forced to wait for some poll or vote. Argh! Stupidity! =)

Just add "other" as a region/an area and let people create their tracks wherever they damn feel like it. It's better for you! =)

we've just created areas Linköping and Norrköping in Sweden. You are right, the area concept might be too strict as it is now. We are working on a new version in order to make things better and easier in Tourality, and we'll sure take your opinion into account - so thanks for your post here! As Tourality is freeware our resources are limited, I am sure you can understand that.

And, if you create a Game-Template GPS-Track you can play it right away - you don't need to wait for the votes of others (or the vote of an admin, which happens most likely within hours). Just go out and play

Others might create Games based on your Game-Templates only after they are confirmed to be "good" by an admin or other Tourality players. We implemented this in order to ensure fun and "quality" Game-Templates for everyone.
